Great price, Great product.

The swaddlers are a comfortable fit for a baby up to 15 pounds. The price per diaper is comparable and even better than you most stores.
With free S & H and to the door service, it saved me gas money and time.

Awesome diapers in a hard to find size!

My son spends the majority of time in between sizes. These are the same diapers you already love but in a size just bigger than 1s! I don’t know what we’d do without these since 1s are much too small and 2s are HUGE!

The may be soft but they don’t do the wiping very well

People seem to love these wipes because they are so soft. My problem with them is they aren’t effective at wiping up …. poop. They just smear it around. I much prefer the Huggies for the wipes although I use the Papmpers diapers.

Disapointing

I was expecting fantastic wipes from Pampers since they are one of the more expensive brands. What we got was disapointment – the wipes themselves are OK, though maybe a tiny bit too thin. However, it is absolutely impossible to pull them apart – when they sit in a wipes tub, you pull one out and half the box comes out (I feel like I’m a magician pulling out colorful handkerchiefs). We tried Huggies wipes and they are much sturdier, thicker and pull out one by one. Even cheap Walgreens wipes were better – they felt more like a material rather than paper. Unfortunately, we must say that we are switching to Huggies.

These are the perfect baby wipe!

I love these baby wipes. They’re strong, they stay moist, and they don’t leave residue or a scent on the baby. My daughter doesn’t get diaper rash from them either. Because they contain aloe, they’re good for my hands, too, which helps because new moms are constantly washing their hands. I haven’t found any place other than Amazon where they’re cheaper – Amazon is the place to buy them. I’ve also purchased a case of the travel size wipes for the diaper bag – they’re perfect. I was actually given a case of huggies wipes at my baby shower and haven’t used them because I like the Seventh Generation ones better. What could be better than a product that really works well and is better for the planet than the other choices out there? I won’t change brands after finding these!

best wipes on the market–or not?

all other wipes contain irritants and/or fragrances. and they fall apart. we use these wipes “as is” on the road but at home, we rinse them out with warm water and spray california baby diaper wash on each cloth for the ultimate diaper change. (tushies disintegrated when rinsed) we have not had one bit of diaper rash in six months. i wish 7th gen would make these clothes available dry. cal baby removes all biological staining and leaves a “calming” lavender/ clary sage scent opposed to the stronger scent of the 7th gen wipe. thankfully it washes out quickly unlike other wipes that retain their chemical stink and slimy residue even after rinsing them out. and 7th gen are the only wipes that are non-chlorine whitened. best on the market!
Update since baby #2: the wipes no longer contain a strong odor. I have discovered they turn my fingernails yellow though. leave a wipe in the air to dry and you’ll see the discoloration. Still, they are the only wipes we use and we use ALOT from diaper changes, to wiping down highchairs, toys, car interior, etc… anything that might yellow we skip–like piano keys!
UPDATE: I found black mold growing in the bottom of a bag. Called the company and they said, “sometimes our formula is off.” Since then I’ve found several “fragrance free” or “organic cloth” wipes on the market. I am open to trying them now.
In addition to finding the mold, we also started using the wipes “as is” instead of washing them out before each use. Both babies developed an intense diaper rash that looked like chemical burns requiring prescription creams. If I could change my star to a 1, I would. The quality of the cloth is superior but they do not come apart so you are waving a container trying to get the wipes unattached.

Customer Reviews

Great company, but stage 6 dipes are no good!

Unfortunately, I have to give these only two stars. It would be one, but the fact that Seventh Generation is a great company overall earns them one bonus star.

I wrote a glowing review for the Stage 1 diapers (check it out and vote it helpful if you like it!). I also found stages 2-4 to be quite good.

But around Stage 5, leakage started becoming a big problem. The bigger the baby got, and the more he started to pee, the more these dipes started leaking! :-(

We’re potty training our 28-month old now, so he generally doesn’t wear diapers during the day, but he does at night. He cannot wear these overnight, or he will wake up soaked and uncomfortable in the morning. In contrast, he is always dry and comfortable with equivalent Pampers diapers. So that’s why the two stars; there are brands out there that keep the baby dry all night, and 7th Generation stage 6 simply doesn’t.

I think if your child is still wearing diapers all day, and you change them frequently, these could be a good buy. But I would strongly recommend against trying to use these overnight.

Do buy other 7th Generation products though! The paper towels, tissues, dish soap, laundry soap, and napkins are all great!

Great diapers for babies w/sensitive skin

We have been using Seventh Generation Diapers (started w/ size 4, and now in size 5) since my daughter was 16 mos old (she’s now 27 mos old), and these have been the best diapers for her sensitive, and diaper rash prone skin. I love the feel of these diapers and they hold a lot. We switched from Pampers Cruisers to these diapers and have never looked back.

I am not happy about the new reformulated diapers, and that they made the package have 8 less diapers, and the gel material seems to be a little more slippery than it was before. Since we hopefully have less than six mos. left of diapers I don’t plan on going diaper hunting again, but messing with something that isn’t necessarily broken really irritates me.

Great for an afternoon snack craving…you might just eat three, May 17, 2007

By Jac Blades

moist, chewy, sweet and tiny are the words that best describe luna tea cakes. i’d have hoped that for the price, i would have had a bigger snack with less calories. this little gem packs 130 calories in about 2 square inches…but it’s worth all 130. upon opening the package, you may seem a bit disappointed with the small size as i was, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in taste.
this “snack cake” (i feel strange lumping it in a category with little debbie and hostess hydrogenated-reconstituted-lardorific-partially defatted-whatever-it-is-that-makes-a-twinkie-snack cakes. but they call it a cake and it IS a snack.) is probably my best choice for a processed/packaged snack. it sure beats those 100-calorie packs of oreo “crisps” or whatever those tasteless cardboard scraps are marketed as. in addition to magnificent taste, this tiny cake has perks too. it’s got vitamins (a great deal for a snack cake, only a few less than an actual luna bar), a little bit of fiber (3g-as much as a luna bar), yumminess and it’s organic. it doesn’t have any soy like a luna bar so you won’t get that rice krispie-like texture. this little bar is like a very dense yet moist cake.
the orange flavor is delicate and sweet. the other flavors are somewhat lacking. the berry one tastes somewhat artificial and the vanilla macadamia nut is very macadamia nut-less and a bit too sweet.
as for the tea, there’s only an inkling of it’s taste and if you aren’t looking for it you probably won’t even notice it. tea just seems to be a modern buzz-word to sell stuff. speaking of, i don’t know if i would believe the claims that this snack cake is “for healthy skin.” i’m a bit upset a responsible company like luna would push their marketing that far. oh well…buy these. you won’t be sorry. 5 stars for taste with one deducted for size and price. i will continue to buy these.

These cakes are so healthy, they are made of wholemeal organic ingredients and they taste very good, they even encourage me to chew better, and are even better tasting if dipped in unsweetened green tea

About the Brand
It started out as just a hike, no different than countless others I’ve taken into the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Little did I know I was about to come up with a mountain of an idea: Combine wholesome ingredients such as fruits and nuts to create a food product that’s tasty, healthy and convenient.

In that instant, in May 2000, LÄRABAR was born. After scouring the aisles of grocery stores and noting popular flavors of ice cream and cookies, I delved into my own product development. Natural foods, I believed, should be fun and enjoyable as well as good for you. With friends and family serving as focus groups, I tinkered with recipes until a consensus on yummi-ness was reached.

The next step was to launch a company to market what would initially be five delicious LÄRABAR flavors: Cherry Pie, Apple Pie, Cashew Cookie, Banana Cookie, and Chocolate Coconut Chew. I also assembled a sophisticated manufacturing arm…what amounted to be a Cuisinart and a rolling pin. The first batch of bars I produced for retail had to be sealed by hand – all 500 of them!

Thank goodness we have machines for that job today. After all, we’re producing millions of LÄRABAR’s every year. They are a healthy indulgence you can feel good about eating.

And “feeling good” is what it’s all about. Believe it or not, I used to be a junk food junkie – until I discovered how natural foods enlivened my mind, body and spirit. A passion for healthy living soon followed, and continues to be a driving force behind everything I do professionally and personally. I really appreciate the opportunity I have to make a positive difference in the world we live in.

Health is indeed your greatest wealth.

Healthy, loved and a good value

July 9, 2008

I guess the most important thing to start with is – my kids LOVE Z-Bars. They were introduced to these early and as far as they know, this is what granola/snack bars are. They find other, more sugar-laden, bars a little too much. I was pleasantly surprised to find this and am more than happy to ply them with this healthier alternative.

These are a great tasty snack and pretty portable. They only suffer in the hot weather when they get a melty. Otherwise, they hold the kids over from 10AM to lunch on most days. Also, the 140 calories makes them a nice snack for adults too when you’re not up for a 200+ calorie bar.

I guess it’s important to note the price as well. The value is great (especially if you subscribe) for a this amount of bars.

But, I repeat, the kids LOVE them – 5-stars!

Clif Builder’s Bar, Protein Bar, 2.4-Ounce Bars

Clif Builder’s Bar, Protein Bar, 2.4-Ounce Bars

Clif Builder\'s Bar, Protein Bar, 2.4-Ounce Bars20g Protein. High in Protein. No Trans Fats. 23 Vitamins and minerals. The entirely natural protein bar. When work feels like a workout. I know that feeling. Throughout high school and well into my twenties, most jobs put my body through the ringer on a daily basis. Back then, I didn’t care about natural ingredients or organic foods; I do now. And that’s the principle behind my Builder’s Bar. It’s an entirely natural protein bar for those who put their own body through the ringer. The Builder’s Bar contains 20 grams of whole proteins. Without hydrogenated oils or trans fats, the Builder’s Bar is a cut above many other protein options. And with its distinctive crispy, chewy texture, I hope you’ll find them more delicious, too. Enjoy! 35% Organic ingredients.

Definitely one of the best tasting protein bars available, April 20, 2007

By Jon Brooks

Plain and simple, these Builder’s Bars are one of the best tasting protein bars you can get. They are crispy and chewy at the same time and they aren’t super sweet like a candy bar. And at 2.4 ounces a piece they are large enough and filling enough to be a meal replacement.

And the one thing that I really like is that when I read the ingredients, I actually know what the stuff is! Nothing weird or unnatural, just real ingredients!

Out of the four flavors available (Chocolate Mint, Peanut Butter, Chocolate, Cookies `n Cream) I prefer the Chocolate Mint and Peanut Butter, mainly because they taste even less like a protein bar. I’m not saying the plain Chocolate and Cookies ‘n Cream are bad tasting, just that I prefer the taste of the Chocolate Mint and Peanut Butter ones (they are all really tasty).

These are just awesome, 100% natural, high protein, real ingredients, and they taste great! I just love them!

A bit of product info:
Vanilla Almond: 39% organic ingredients
Chocolate Mint: 32% organic ingredients
Chocolate: 33% organic ingredients
Cookies `n Cream: 35% organic ingredients
Peanut Butter: 35% organic ingredients

Side note:
Do not buy these expired (like on eBay or in-store)! Since these bars do not contain any preservatives they can loose their freshness and vitamin potency quickly and can develop a simple bread mold. It is recommended that they be eaten within a month of their sell by date (they are guaranteed to be fresh one month passed the sell by date printed on the wrapper).

EDIT: I just bought myself a couple of boxes of the of the new Vanilla Almond flavor and oh my they are mighty tasty. Sometimes you just don’t want a chocolate protein bar and these fit the bill perfectly! And just like the other Builder Bars they are not super sweet, just a perfect balance. That and they contain more organic ingredients then the other Builder Bars (39%).

If chocolate is not your pleasure try the Vanilla Almond bars, you will not be disappointed!

But what about those missing 9.49 grams?, June 10, 2007

By Joseph Haschka
On a good day, which is getting to be one that I don’t need a walker quite yet, I manage an hour and a half in the local Y’s gym. That’s thirty minutes not drowning during laps in the Olympic Jr. pool, thirty minutes staggering on the crosstrainer, and the rest spent in the weight room or just navigating the stairs between floors. When I’m all done and totally knackered, I get my reward – usually the Breakfast Burger at a well-known fast food emporium: beef patty, fried egg, bacon, cheese, and hash browns on a bun. But, for a change of pace recently, my positive reinforcement for fitness training was a chocolate BUILDER’S bar – a “cocoa dipped double decker crisp bar” from Clif.

Within the genre of “meal replacement bars”, there are some – those that have the consistency of pressed sawdust, playdough, or dry shoe leather, with tastes to match – that stretch the aesthetic definition of “foodstuff”. But the BUILDER’S bar is of standout palatability.

The list of ingredients begins dubiously with “soy protein isolate”, “chicory syrup”, and “organic brown rice syrup”, none of which I remember being in Mom’s kitchen. However, there’re also “organic rolled oats”, “unsweetened chocolate”, “cocoa”, “cocoa butter”, and “organic dry roasted almonds”, all of which sound reassuringly familiar. Once you’ve taken a chomp out of the bar and look at it end-on, you’ll see a gratifyingly thick layer of smooth chocolate topping a lumpy one; the latter provides the crunch. And a thin layer of chocolate enrobes the entire bar, which has the taste of dark (rather than milk) chocolate, and which demands an accompanying glass of moo juice – the non-fat variety, of course. On the comfort food satisfaction scale, it compares favorably with a half-dozen chocolate and nut covered chocolate cake buttermilk donuts – not that I’d eat all six at one go, mind you.

The bar’s wrapper screams “20g protein”. Getting out the reading glasses and inspecting the nutritional information, I see that the 68g serving includes 8g of fat (saturated 5g, trans fat 0g), 30g of total carb, the 20g of protein, and 0.51g of sodium plus potassium for a total of, lemme see here, um … 58.51 grams. So, what comprises the remaining 9.49 grams? Inquiring minds want to know. Gee, I hope it’s nothing fed to rats in carcinogenicity experiments.

Now, just between you and me … After chowing down the BUILDER’S bar, I went and had that Breakfast Burger also. Let’s just say I had dessert first, shall we?
